Erawan National Park is known for Erawan Falls, which cascades down 7 tiers. The park’s many caves include Phartat Cave, which has stalactites and stalagmites, and Ta Duang Cave, featuring rock paintings. Limestone Wang Bah Dan Cave has 2 levels, with a stream in its lower chamber. The park is crossed by trails, and home to elephants and deer.
Elephant Haven – Observe and learn about the rescued Elephants. Visitors choosing the Haven will have meaningful encounters with these magnificent elephants, learn about their individual histories and traits while supporting ethical tourism. Guests will also have the opportunity of meeting a herd of beautiful cows, some clucking chickens, and the Haven’s rescue dogs.
Death Railway – take a train ride on the historical Death Railway which was once built by allied Prisoners of War and runs partly parallel to the River Kwai and through dense jungle.
The Floating Market of Damnoen Saduak is among one of the most attractive floating markets in Thailand. Motor boat rides are already included in your tour! Many Thai and foreign tourists come here to absorb the atmosphere of Thailand water markets that have been like this for over a 100 years. At this floating market, you can try a number of delicious Thai fruits and foods such as sweet mango on sticky rice, freshly-made coconut icecream, and Thai-style boat noodle.
Maeklong Railway Market (Talad Rom Hub) The Railway Market is humorously called as the “life-risking” market! You will have fun riding a local train toward the Mae Klong station. While on this train, you will see the “Unseen-Thailand” experience. When the train signal rings up, the chaos will happen! Vendors will rush to detract their stall and clear away all goods that obstructs the running train at a great speed. Once the train passes, all shop owners will resume their stalls again.
River Kwai Bridge Thanks to several films and books, the Bridge over the River Kwai has become famous and attracted both Thais and foreigners to the site. If an ordinary black iron bridge can tell a story, you can be sure it’s a dramatic one. The bridge has steel plates over the ties to make it easy to walk over the span. There are also viewing platforms between the trestles to give you a view of the river as well as to give you a place to get out of the way if you’re on the bridge when a train comes. You will have a delicious lunch at a raft restaurant near the River Kwai Bridge.
