Scuba Diving with Professional Scuba Instructor
Learn to scuba dive in a small group setting with this convenient package.Start your day by learning the fundamentals from a certified instructor, and practice your technique in a training pool. Once comfortable and confident, head out on a dive boat in Pennekamp State Park for two dives in reefs with your instructor. Expect to see colorful fish, reef sharks, turtles, and more on both dives. The program finishes at around 5 pm. Please make sure you do have transportation available since the pool site and the marina are a few minutes away by. Please note that you cannot fly on an airplane until 10 AM on the next day after your Discover Scuba Diving experience.
Option #2 Scuba Dive with an Experienced Instructor
Discover SCUBA Diving full-day adventure is your ticket to exploring the underwater world of the Florida Keys. No experience necessary. Along side an experienced instructor you will spend the morning learning at our bay-side pool learning diving safety and techniques, then head out on our afternoon dive boat for 2 ocean-side reef dives! Amoray Dive Resort is a hidden gem, featuring quaint accommodations, tiki huts, bay-side pool, and a spacious catamaran dive boat at the resident dive center. This course includes all necessary gear, a morning briefing, pool session in our bay-side pool, and an afternoon boat trip out to the reef for two SCUBA dives. Half Day Scuba Diving Trip without instructor
Join a SCUBA diving trip to some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park.Explore reefs: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different sites on the reef. The sites are chosen by the captain based on the day’s sea conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific sites. IMPORTANT: You MUST be SCUBA certified with recent dive experience for this activity. If you have not been diving in more than one year, you may be required to hire a guide at an additional charge. If you have not been diving in over two years, you will be required to take a refresher course. Single divers may be required to hire a guide.
